Surrender reorders life

Priorities re-ordered

Dear ,

“Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” — Matthew 6:33

Addiction is essentially a disorder of priorities; we put our substance or behavior above everything else—family, health, and God. Recovery is the long, daily process of re-ordering our lives so that God is back at the center.

Surrender reorders life in a way that actually works. When we stop obsessing over our needs and start seeking God’s way of living first, we find that the “other things”—peace, relationships, and basic needs—start to fall into place. When God is in His proper place, everything else finds its proper place too.

What has been your “Number 1” priority this week? If it isn’t your spiritual health, make a concrete change today to put God back at the top of the list.

Lord, I put Your kingdom first today. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Remember, seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. You deserve a life free
from addiction

Sincerely,
The RGV Road to Recovery IA Team
